Ross M. Greenberg is a civil attorney who specializes in representing individuals, business, estates and trusts before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue for both collection and audit/examination issues. In the Collection Division Mr. Greenberg represented the Internal Revenue Service in foreclosure, discharge and release of federal tax liens. Further Mr. Greenberg advised the Collection Division on the priority of federal tax liens including drafting memoranda of law and researching the chain of title. He also assisted in determining the validity of levies issued by the Internal Revenue Service.
In the Audit Division Mr. Greenberg advised and interpreted tax laws for Revenue Agents during audits of individuals and corporations. Further Mr. Greenberg represented the Internal Revenue Service in the United States Tax Court and in the United States Bankruptcy Court as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.
Education and Associations
Mr. Greenberg graduated from the University of Florida in 1993 with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. He then attended Nova Southeastern University Law School graduating in the top ten percent of his class. Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Greenberg earned a Masters of Tax Law (LLM) from the University of Florida.Mr. Greenberg is a member of the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Giselle Chia is a Florida Registered Paralegal and an Enrolled Agent representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.
Mrs. Chia became a part of our team in September 2005. She is bilingual (fluent in Spanish) and available to assist our Spanish speaking clientele. She has experience ranging from litigation work to Probate, Estate Planning and Tax Law. Giselle has extensive knowledge and experience as a Paralegal for over 12 years. She has been a Florida Registered Paralegal in the State of Florida under the Florida Bar since 2010.
As a federally-licensed tax practitioner she is authorized by the US Department of the Treasury and has the technical expertise in the field of taxation to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels – examination, collection and appeals – of the Internal Revenue Service. Giselle is 1 of only 48,000 Enrolled Agents in the United States. Her understanding and know-how on a variety of tax controversy issues – liens and levies, audits, offer in compromises, installment agreements and payroll taxes – make her a valuable asset to our team.
Mrs. Chia is actively involved in not-for-profit organizations around the community like Legal Aid of Broward County and HANDY. In prior years, she served on the board of the Puerto Rican Bar Scholarship Foundation, Broward Judicial Watch and the NEXT Steering Committee for Legal Aid of Broward County. She has also supported the Hispanic Bar Association and the National Hispanic Bar Association (Paralegal Division) in past years.
Giselle was born in Lima, Peru and moved to Florida in 1990. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys watching football but not as much as futbol. She also has a love for extreme sports that runs in her family.
